Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Mentor to inspire and support children through their developmental journey. In this vital role, you will serve as a positive role model, fostering growth, confidence, and resilience in children across various settings such as classrooms, daycare centers, camps, and community programs. Your energetic approach and nurturing spirit will help create a safe, engaging environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Build trusting relationships with children by providing consistent support, encouragement, and guidance. Implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being. Manage group settings effectively using strong classroom management techniques to ensure a safe environment. Assist with educational tasks such as tutoring or helping children with homework to reinforce learning. Lead recreational activities including sports coaching, arts and theater projects, or outdoor games to foster teamwork and physical activity. Apply child safety protocols by maintaining first aid readiness and responding promptly to minor injuries or emergencies. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other caregivers to support each child's unique needs and progress. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred, but not required. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies is advantageous, but not required. Strong group management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior in group settings. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is desirable to ensure child safety; however, we will get a successful candidate CPR training. Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus. Excellent communication skills tailored for working with children, parents, and team members. Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour
