Primary Purpose:
Provides high quality instruction in field of expertise to ensure students meet course outcomes. Collaborates with college staff and colleagues to improve students' learning experience, as well asconducting research or scholarship to advance knowledge and mentoring students. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains an active research program and develop a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and grant submissions. Area of scholarly expertise is open. 2. Teaches core courses in the psychology programs. The teaching load is contingent on research productivity. 3. Mentors students in research. 4. Creates an environment that is conducive to learning. 5. Serves and contributes to appropriate department, college, and university committees. 6. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field. 7. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Department Chair and/or the Dean.
