As an adjunct instructor, you will bring your expertise, passion for teaching, and innovative approach to the classroom, fostering a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and engagement. Your contributions will help shape the future of our diverse student body by delivering high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Duties Develop and deliver engaging course content in English, Psychology, or Mathematics that aligns with institutional curriculum standards. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to create online course materials, assessments, and interactive activities. Incorporate research-based teaching strategies and innovative learning technology to enhance student understanding and participation. Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that promote active learning and critical thinking skills among adult learners. Provide timely feedback on assignments, essays, research projects, or exams to support student progress. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and participation using LMS tools and library services as needed. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives to ensure course relevance and academic rigor. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Psychology, Mathematics or a related field; Master's degree or higher preferred. Proven experience in higher education teaching or adult education settings with classroom experience. Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar learning technology tools. Experience with curriculum development and integrating research into instructional practices. Knowledge of social work principles or library services is a plus for interdisciplinary teaching approaches. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging diverse student populations. Skills in using statistical software like SPSS or GIS for research projects are desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds and learning styles.
