FV0009 Location Morehouse College - Atlanta GA Position Summary Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA - The Division of Science, Technology, and Mathematics (STEM) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor appointment within the Department of Psychology. We welcome applicants from all subdisciplines; however, preference will be given to those who can teach undergraduate research methods and statistics courses. Responsibilities include teaching and advising undergraduate students, supervising student research, and participating in departmental activities. Candidates must hold at minimum a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree (Ph.D. preferred) and demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology or related field (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred) Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree with experience teaching multiple areas of psychology Experience with active learning and teaching diverse student populations Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of psychological theory, research, and practice Ability to teach SPSS and/or R Strong understanding of evidence-based teaching practices Ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive instruction Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage course responsibilities independently Commitment to academic integrity and institutional policies

- Supervising student research,
- Participating in the life and culture of the department
- Ability to teach research methods and statistics
- Ability to use and teach SPSS and/or R statistical package.
- Develop course content and other course materials in support of course and learning outcomes and adhere to departmental required texts, if any
- Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner to inform students about their progress and to provide opportunities which will allow students to succeed
- Schedule and maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment and provide timely communication to students utilizing Morehouse network.
