Employment Opportunity Detail Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Evansville (UE) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology. This is a renewable, 10-month, non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2026. We are seeking a versatile educator and scholar to support our thriving BS in Psychology and our Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). The ideal candidate will be a statistics and research methods powerhouse with a passion for in-person instruction and student mentorship. Whether your specialty is forensics, cognitive psychology, or another area that expands our current curriculum, we want you to help shape the future of behavioral science at UE. Primary Responsibilities The Clinical Assistant Professor plays a dual role in supporting both undergraduate foundations and doctoral-level clinical training.
Your main duties will include:
Quantitative Instruction:
Teach undergraduate and graduate-level statistics and research methods courses, ensuring students at all levels possess strong data literacy.Specialty Teaching:
Deliver undergraduate courses within your specific area of expertise (e.g., Forensic Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, etc.) to enhance the department's elective offerings.Program Support:
Actively contribute to the success of the BS and PsyD programs through curriculum development, student advising, and committee service.Mentorship:
Guide students through research projects and professional development, fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.Campus Engagement:
Participate in departmental meetings, university service, and the vibrant life of a private, student-centered institution.Required Qualifications Education:
An earned doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in psychology or a related field by August 15, 2026.Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in research methods and statistical data analysis is required.Instructional Style:
A commitment to high-quality, in-person teaching and student engagement.Experience:
Priority will be given to candidates with a demonstrated track record of success in teaching statistics.Preferred Attributes Specialty Alignment:
Interest in Forensic or Cognitive Psychology is highly desirable, though all specialty areas will be considered.Collaborative Spirit:
