MCCC/DCE unit position, non-benefitted. Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Courses may be offered as face-to-face sections in Attleboro, Fall River, New Bedford, and/or Taunton. Courses may also be offered as online sections. Courses may be held during the day, in the evening, and on weekends (Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays).Please note:
Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.STARTING DATE
Academic Year 2025-2026SALARY:
Minimum salary is $1,397 per credit hour. Actual salary is commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. DCE Adjuncts and Part-Time Members (mccc-union.org)STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Adjunct Faculty - Psychology will be responsible for teaching Psychology courses. A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog.SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Reports to Dean of Behavioral & Social Sciences and Education.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Psychology courses. Complete required trainings, such as Title IX and Cybersecurity. Adhere to workload as specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, to include duties such as completing book orders, creating syllabi, verifying student enrollment, and submitting final grades by the contractual deadline. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community. Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. Be available to students either virtually and in-person for assistance meeting course requirements and supporting student academic success.Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or related field. Ability to teach courses in various modalities, including in-person. Proven technological proficiency. The ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate preferred. College level teaching experience. Evidence of scholarship. Experience using High Impact Practices. Experience teaching at a community college. Demonstrated proficiency with Canvas or any Learning Management System. Graduate of Bristol's Adjunct Certificate Program. 18 graduate credits in the area of Psychology. Ability to communicate in a language in addition to English.Additional Information:
