Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Job Description Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered High School Social Studies teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Social Studies, with a commitment to developing standards-based lessons and assessments, setting high expectations for all students, and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Experience teaching psychology, particularly Advanced Placement Psychology, is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Develop thoughtful standards-based lessons and assessments in United States and World History. Set high expectations for all students and utilize scaffolding and differentiation to support diverse learning needs. Display a collegial spirit that supports and enhances continual professional growth consistent with the educational goals and philosophies of our school community. Collaborate with all team members, including special educators, education support professionals, grade-level teachers, interventionists, and other support personnel. Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs. Communicate regularly with students and families, involving families as partners in their child's education. Teach psychology courses, including Advanced Placement Psychology, and incorporate best practices in instruction and assessment for psychology content.
