Job Description
The School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Mount Olive seeks applicants for a 9.5-month, full-time, faculty position to teachPsychology and/or related coursework. Administrative release time will be provided for Graduate program exploration. These duties willinclude assessing the demand for various Psychology and related graduate programming, making recommendations on such programming to theFaculty and Administration, and subsequently building/designing the curriculum for newly approved graduate programming. This position willbe assigned to the Division of Sport and Social Sciences within the School of Arts & Sciences and will report directly to the Assistant Deanof the Division. This in-person faculty position requires a presence on the UMO campus in Mount Olive, NC, and will be responsiblefor advising, teaching, and supervising students enrolled in our Psychology programs. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/orgraduate courses and may range from in-person to online and hybrid formats. This faculty member must be qualified to teach graduate andundergraduate courses in Psychology or related field. Based on education and professional experience, the faculty member may be assignedadditional courses in related disciplines. Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in Psychology or closely related field Experience utilizing a Learning Management System to create, organize, anddeliver course content. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, essential to effectively working withstudents and faculty.Qualifications Preferred:
Previous experience designing, directing, and developingcurriculum for graduate-level programs in Psychology and/or related disciplines Clinical Psychology background/teachingexperience Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level, especially experience teaching in a graduate program The University of Mount Olive requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current orfuture visa sponsorship.To Apply:
