Job Description

The Department of Psychological Science seeks applicants for a non-tenure track, faculty position at the rank of Lecturer for the 2026-2027 academic year beginning August 1, 2026, and ending May 15, 2027. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses such as Psychological Disorders (PSYC 3400), Introduction to General Psychology (PSYC 1101), and/or Introduction to Clinical Practices (PSYC 4800). This is an in-person, on-campus position (not remote). The Department of Psychological Science is housed in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The department offers a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychology. The department has 10 faculty and over 600 students. The department also offers an online Bachelor of Sciences degree program and a minor in Psychology. For more information on the department, visit https://www.valdosta.edu/psychology/ . RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching 5 courses per semester in a face-to-face and online modality (Fall and Spring) and participating in service at the department, college, or university levels.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in psychology or counseling Work experience with counseling, therapy, or teaching
