We also seek to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty who value working with diverse students. Salary The salary is commensurate with education and experience. Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for two full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty positions (#120310 and #120490) at the rank of lecturer. These are one-year temporary appointments. The contracts may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointments is August 1, 2026. The successful candidates will teach a range of courses, including general psychology, developmental psychology, psychological disorders, personality, sensation & perception, cognitive psychology, and statistics. The position is on-campus, but teaching online courses may also be required. The successful candidates must be regularly available to students during office hours, and before beginning online courses, the lecturers must receive appropriate training to teach them at MTSU. Required Education A master's degree in psychology is required by the appointment date. Other Desirables Applicants with teaching experience or a PhD in psychology will receive special consideration.
