Job Description

The Department of Psychology and Special Education seeks a dedicated scholar, educator and clinician who demonstrates potential for impactful research, excellence in teaching, and clinical supervision at the graduate level, and meaningful service to the department, university, and profession. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to training Clinical Psychology students in evidence-based assessment and intervention practices. The position will primarily serve the Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and Specialist in School Psychology programs, and will contribute to the development and delivery of the forthcoming PsyD in Clinical/School Psychology, but may also contribute to other graduate courses in the Department of Psychology and Special Education. East Texas A&M University, a student-ready Doctoral University classified as R2: High Research Activity by the Carnegie Classification, invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology to begin Fall 2027. The university is actively pursuing the development of a PsyD in Clinical/School Psychology, and the successful candidate will play a key role in this exciting initiative. An earlier start date of Spring 2027 may be available for candidates with a conferred doctoral degree.
