Job TitleAssistant Professor of Psychology Agency Texas A&M University - Victoria Department College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Proposed Minimum SalaryCommensurate Job LocationVictoria, Texas Job TypeFaculty Job Description Assistant Professor Psychology Faculty The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Texas A&M University - Victoria is hiring for a tenure track position to join the faculty at the Assistant Professor level. The academic specialty is open, and successful candidates will contribute to the general needs of the Psychology program at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This includes Introduction to Psychology as well as specialized classes compatible with the teaching and research interests of the candidate. Faculty members will teach four courses each semester (24 credits per academic year). Texas A&M University-Victoria has approximately 3,000 students, which allows a small faculty to student ratio. The department of psychology has 326 students and currently offers an undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology and Forensic Psychology. Our recent entry into the Texas A&M University System is enabling us to build new dynamic university, focused on continuing our strong programs and building a vibrant residential student body. The position will be based in Victoria Texas a city of 65,000 surrounded by rural communities, but within an easy drive of Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Houston. This is a face-to-face position, and the successful candidate will maintain a regular presence on campus. Applicants must apply online and include: 1. Cover letter 2. Current CV 3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PhD or PSYD in psychology or ABD. Preference to those with prior experience teaching counseling or forensic graduate courses, or licensed clinical experience.
