Job Description:
Cultivating Literacy is hiring a Vietnamese-speaking Orientation Facilitator & Literacy Coach in San Jose! We are looking for someone local to the Bay Area with experience in early childhood education and literacy to support Vietnamese-speaking families in our Dual-Language Individualized Literacy Plan program.
This role includes:
  • Leading in-person family orientations in San Jose on June 16, 17 and 18, 2026
  • Supporting families remotely throughout our 9-week literacy coaching program through phone/video check-ins starting mid June
  • Guiding families using our online literacy portal and customized reading plans
  • Helping families build joyful reading routines and confidence at home
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English
  • Based in the San Jose area
  • Experience working with young children and families
  • Knowledge of early literacy foundations such as phonics, phonological awareness, and comprehension
  • Classroom teaching or literacy intervention experience preferred
  • Comfortable using Google Suite and virtual communication tools
Compensation:
  • $25-$35/hour
