Full Job Description SAT Reading Instructor Responsibilities:
Deliver Engaging Instruction:
Plan and deliver effective SAT test prep lessons that engage students and promote active learning.
Content Expertise:
Possess a strong understanding of the SAT exam format, content, and scoring system.
Individualized Coaching:
Provide small group instruction to address individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Test Strategy:
Teach students effective test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and problem-solving skills specific to the SAT.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development and improvement of SAT test prep curriculum materials.
Progress Tracking:
Monitor student progress through assessments, practice exams, and regular feedback sessions.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and performance.
Stay Current:
Stay updated on SAT exam changes, trends in college admissions, and best practices in test preparation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Education, English, Math, etc.). Previous experience in SAT test preparation or tutoring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Patience and empathy when working with students. Enthusiasm for helping students succeed academically. Familiarity with SAT test content and format.
Preferred:
Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
