We're hiring an engaging Reading Instructor with a passionate personality who can make learning fun, interactive, and confidence-building here at SkyRocket Reading. This is a fast-paced , hands-on role where you'll lead sessions, build strong connections with students, and help kids become confident readers. You'll primarily work with elementary-aged students (with occasional older students) using our proven, structured literacy system. No guessing or haphazard tutoring here—we'll train you step-by-step so you can teach with confidence and see real results. In a typical session, you might be reading with expression, playing a quick reading game, and celebrating a student's breakthrough moment—all in the same session. Pay & Growth $19-$24/hour , based on experience, with opportunities for pay increases based on performance Part-time to start, with strong potential to grow into full-time

Summer:

Daytime hours Must have a flexible schedule and consistent availability Responsibilities Lead small group reading sessions Create fun, engaging, high-energy learning experiences Keep students focused, motivated, and building confidence Adapt lessons to meet different learning styles Communicate and document student progress Qualifications Energetic, positive, and engaging personality Comfortable leading and interacting with students Ability to balance fun with structure and focus Reliable, professional, and a strong communicator

Key Requirements Education:

Minimum of 48 college units completed

Tech Skills:

Basic comfort with Google Docs/Sheets and general computer use

Clearance:

Ability to pass DOJ Livescan background check and TB test

Transportation:

Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance

Physical:

Able to stay active with students and assist in a classroom setting

Commitment:
