Florida ELA Grades 6-12 Certification and either a Florida K-12 Reading Endorsement, Reading Certification, or 2 college-level courses towards Reading Endorsement or Certification are required. Palm Beach Maritime Academy (PBMA) is an accredited K-12 charter school celebrating 27 years of excellence. Our Elementary, Middle and High School grades are accredited by Cognia. PBMA offers Grades K-12th Grade at two beautiful, safe facilities located in The Town of Lantana. PBMA integrates maritime studies and marine science with the Florida State Standards through a variety of methods, which include many hands-on classroom experiences and field trips for all students.

Our field trips include:
Loxahatchee River Center, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Resource Depot and Busch Wildlife Preserve, as well as to perform a variety of age-appropriate experiments and see first-hand what the environment has to teach us. Students also visit numerous other destinations including the Broward and Palm Beach County Museums of Science, the Everglades, the "Floating Classroom", the Kravis Center, Jupiter Lighthouse, and a myriad of other locations. Students participate in the "Coastal Clean-up", Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) competitions, The Riviera Beach Plywood Regatta where students have the opportunity to build boats and other community events such as the "Lake Worth Street Painting Festival".
