Reading Intervention Teacher (Grades 15)

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reading Intervention Teacher to support students in grades 1 through 5 who need targeted literacy assistance. Duties Develop and implement customized reading intervention plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, document interventions, and communicate with colleagues and families. Apply principles of literacy education, early childhood development, and childhood education to create effective lesson plans that promote reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills. Incorporate learning technology tools and instructional design strategies to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Work closely with students with disabilities or special education needs, adapting instruction to support diverse learning styles. Manage classroom environments efficiently through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, parents, and administrators to support student success and provide ongoing academic advising. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification or license for elementary or early childhood education. Demonstrated experience in classroom teaching or tutoring students in grades 1-5, especially in literacy or reading intervention roles. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional strategies for early learners. Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and data-driven instruction methods. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a supportive learning environment.
