Sep 1, 2026 Job Description The Greenmont Avenue Elementary School is seeking a part-time (.6) Digital Literacy Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This position is benefits eligible.
SUMMARY:
To teach digital literacy skills in support of the integration of technology into the lives of students as well as to support learning in school settings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. Teaches skills, knowledge and scientific attitudes through courses in technology education and literacy to students utilizing curriculum designated by the school district Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the basic instructional philosophy to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student and subgroups of students Maintain and advance the knowledge of digital learning resources and educational technologies to support teaching and learning Instructs students in subject matter specified in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks Plans a technology education program involving demonstrations, discussions and student experiments; organizes activities for optimal learning Instructs students in the proper use, care and safe handling of equipment Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards and keeps appropriate records to include attendance reports, checklists, and other record keeping activities as necessary Manages class operations by creating a positive class environment delivering instruction effectively by establishing high expectations for all students, presenting material in a developmentally appropriate manner Communicates with parents regarding student progress Supervises students in assigned out of classroom activities during the working day Models ethical behavior, skills proficiency and responsible use of online and educational technology resources Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal
