Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead small-group interventions using structured, evidence based literacy approaches. Monitor student growth and skills development to target and address student needs. Administer and interpret universal screeners (e.g., DIBELS, AIMSweb) and diagnostic assessments to group students and monitor progress. Serve as a core member of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team, leading data analysis discussions, and advising/coaching classroom teachers on differentiation strategies. Maintain meticulous Title I records, including student progress reports, parent involvement documentation, and intervention logs. Facilitate workshops and communications to help Title I families support literacy development at home. Lead professional development workshops on current reading and literacy best practices. Collaborate with math specialists, reading tutor, and teachers to create schedules aligned to student needs and interventions. Collaborate with district wide reading specialists, interventionists, and educators to align skills and improvement measures vertically.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience with Wit and Wisdom, Geodes, & Fundations Training/Certification in Wilson, Orton Gillingham, or other structured literacy programs. Experience in managing and administering supplemental digital learning tools for students. Academic Reading Specialist Teacher licensure required
