Aug 31, 2026 Job Description To improve student reading/writing achievement through a comprehensive school-wide literacy program applying modeling of best practices lessons which use literacy-based learning strategies, coaching teachers in all curriculum areas on how to enhance students' literacy skills, data analysis and direct instruction to students. 1.Provide direct instruction in literacy to students identified as needing intervention. 2.Design lesson plans for individual, small group and large group instruction in literacy. 3.Serve as a consultant to administration and teachers in the area of literacy. 4.Evaluate student performance in literacy and collaborate with teachers and administrators to interpret and use assessment data to improve instruction and student achievement. 5.Model effective instructional strategies in the area of literacy in the classroom. 6.Collaborate with school teams and administrators to make curriculum and assessment recommendations in the area of literacy. 7.Maintain and promptly submit accurate, complete and correct records and reports as required by district policy, and by administrative directives. 8.Work with teachers individually, in collaborative teams, and/or with departments, providing practical support on implementing the district literacy curriculum and effective intervention strategies. 9.Provide parent education opportunities where requested in the area of literacy.
