Part-time, On-Call Korean Language Instructor

Position Overview Academia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time, On-Call Korean Language Instructor to support our language training programs in Linthicum, Maryland. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who enjoys working with adult learners and delivering high-quality, mission-focused language instruction. Key Responsibilities The Korean Language Instructor will be responsible for delivering effective and engaging language instruction tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering Korean language training programs aligned with customer requirements and learning objectives Teaching through multiple instructional modalities, including in-person, online, synchronous, asynchronous, and distance learning Applying blended learning strategies that integrate eLearning tools, classroom instruction, group activities, and real-world scenarios Designing and administering diagnostic and progress assessments to evaluate student performance Delivering ISO-Immersion programs, language-related courses, and Area Studies instruction Collaborating with fellow instructors and curriculum development teams to continuously improve course content and instructional quality Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements: Minimum ILR proficiency level of 3/3 (DLPT score) in Korean Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university At least five (5) years of experience teaching adult language learners using established language-teaching methodologies Demonstrated ability to teach translation, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, speaking, and writing Experience selecting and using authentic instructional materials to support learning outcomes Proof of authorization to work in the

United States Substitution:

In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of directly related experience teaching adult language learners may be considered.
