Job Description Position Overview:
The Academic Achievement Center (AAC)provides academic intervention, tutoring, and student support services to assist students in meeting instructional goals and graduation requirements. The AAC teacher works with students individually and in small groups to provide targeted academic support.
Appointment Terms:
This is a one-year, annual appointment for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is contingent upon student enrollment, program needs, and budgetary considerations. This appointment is not a probationary tenure-track appointment and does not lead to tenure in the AAC assignment. Reappointment, if any, is at the sole discretion of the Board of Education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic intervention, tutoring, and instructional support to students in individual and small-group settings. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet identified learning needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement student support plans. Support students in meeting course requirements, graduation requirements, and academic goals. Perform other duties related to the AAC program as assigned by the building administrator.
