8.4.26-8.21.26 Job Summary The Summer Reading Intervention Instructor will provide targeted, small-group reading instruction to elementary students in need of additional support. Instruction will be based on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) data collected during the previous school year. The purpose is to accelerate reading growth and support foundational literacy skills through evidence-based instructional strategies. This position will run for 3 weeks during the summer, with sessions held twice per week for 2 hours each, totaling 6 two-hour sessions. Scheduling may vary by school based on student need. Requirements Bachelor's Degree and PA Elementary Instructional Certification required. Knowledge of foundational reading skills, phonics, fluency, and comprehension strategies. Experience delivering structured literacy or reading intervention programs such as UFLI, Sonday System, IMSE (Orton-Gillingham), HMH Into Reading/Intervention, or similar research-based approaches. Reading Specialist Certification preferred.
Compensation:
