Immediately Job Description Vacancies for Summer 2026 Teachers exist for the Summer Literacy Program, within the Norristown Area School District. This program will be July 6 through July 30.
Summary:
The NASD Literacy Program is to offer extra support in foundational reading skills to students who are moving from 1st to 2nd grade.
Qualifications:
Current PDE Certification:
Bachelor's Degree Experience as 1st or 2nd grade teacher preferred FBI, Criminal Background, and Child Abuse clearances
Responsibilities:
Maintain professional attitude Communicate with parents about students' progress Utilize proper strategies and reinforcements to create an educational atmosphere that is in alignment with District instructional goals Evaluate students' academic growth, keeps proper records, and prepares progress reports
Schedule:
July 6 2026-July 30, 2026 Monday-Thursday
Students:
9:00am-1:00pm
Staff:
8:30am-1:30pm
Salary:
$ 45.00 Per/ Hour In person
