Jul 8, 2026 Job Description The Wolf School, a small independent day school in East Providence, Rhode Island, was founded in 1999 to provide a unique educational environment for children with multiple learning differences in grades K-8. The goal was to create a school that would provide children with the opportunity to reach their full academic and social potential. The founding members of the Board, including educators, clinical specialists, and a family, created a model that emphasizes the development of core grade-level skills taught through a therapeutically guided curriculum. As a result, our students make significant gains academically and socially. Our summer program, Camp Confidence, blends our innovative Immersion Model© classroom with the spirit of a traditional summer camp, creating an engaging, supportive, and enriching experience for our students. Each week features a new theme that drives both academics and enrichment activities. Mornings focus on small-group academic instruction aligned with students' IEP or Learning Plan goals, while afternoons are filled with experiential enrichments.General Summary of Job:
As the reading specialist, you will plan and teach 1:1 and/or small group reading lessons based upon individual students' IEP or Learning Plan goals. In addition, you will maintain documentation of student progress and communicate with the classroom team and families.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and teach 1:1 and/or small group reading lessons to students based upon their IEP or Learning Plan goals Maintain documentation of skills taught and student progress Collaborate with classroom teams on student goals and progress Parent communication End of summer documentation of student progress madeSkills & Abilities:
Ability to follow, create, and implement fun, hands-on, multisensory lessons based upon the Orton-Gillingham sequence Strong planning and time management skills Efficient documentation and organization skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish rapport with students, faculty, and familiesTo Apply:
