Exercise Science Faculty

The university seeks to fill one full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor ofExercise Science, beginning August 2026. Rank at the time of hire will be dependent upon applicant degree and certifications held. Minimumqualifications for this position are a master's degree in an exercise science-related field and having the National Strength andConditioning Association's Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Applicants with the appropriate degree who arewilling to obtain the CSCS certification within 6 months of hire will be considered. A successful candidate will teach Fitness Assessmentand Exercise Prescription, Application of Exercise Science, and potentially other courses that align with the candidate's expertise withinthe Exercise Science program, such as Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or others. Additional responsibilities include professionalactivities such as research in the candidate's area of expertise or professional development in instructional delivery/design, as well asadvising students, preparing and assessing curriculum, recruiting and retaining students, and serving on university committees. TheExercise Science Program offers robust resources, including a medical-grade cadaver lab operated in partnership with the Biology Department.

With lab courses located in the Kehl Center, Exercise Science laboratories utilize the campus gym and weight room to provide a premiersetting for hands-on instruction and practical skills development.
