Job Description:
Utica University is currently accepting applications for adjunct instructors to teach on ground in all disciplines to support programmatic and enrollment growth. There is an immediate need to hire for the Fall 2026 semester for the Physical Education, Exercise & Wellness Department.
Adjunct Lecturer of Physical Education, Exercise & Wellness:
PXW 313:
Biomechanics:
This course examines human movement as it relates to sports. The structure, mechanical properties, and health of joints, extremities, and spine are emphasized.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Human Physiology, or a related field Doctoral degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Physiology, or Physical therapy, preferred. Three (3) years of clinical and/or academic experience
Skills/Abilities:
Experience teaching and supervising students, in an accredited higher education institution, in practical laboratory settings. This should include at least one or more of the following; laboratory topics: anatomy, kinesiology, fitness testing, body composition, fitness prescription, metabolic cart/VO2max testing, electrocardiogram (ECG), and graded exercise testing (GXT).
Certifications:
Current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
