Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus is the regional provider for technical and career education, offering more than 25 programs with a variety of industry specific options, as well as certificates of proficiency, technical certificates, associate degrees and general education coursework. The Ozark Campus is located on I-40 between Fort Smith and Russellville, Arkansas, in the city of Ozark. The campus, which is more than 26 acres and includes a half-mile exercise path and disc golf course, is located along Arkansas Highway 23 North in Ozark, Arkansas. The city of Ozark, with a population of approximately 3,500, is located on the banks of the Arkansas River and surrounded to the north by the Ozark National Forest and to the south by the Ouachita National Forest. Located to the west of Ozark is the city of Fort Smith, a commercial and industrial center for western Arkansas. Russellville, home to Arkansas Tech University's main campus and an area of vigorous industrial development, is located to the southeast of Ozark on Interstate 40.
Position Summary:
This position includes health sciences instruction of career & technical education students enrolled through Arkansas Tech Career Center and housed at ATCC Russellville Campus. The position is primarily face-to-face instruction but may include some online instruction as needed. This position reports directly to the Director of Arkansas Tech Career Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Heath Science instructor provides quality classroom and lab instruction; oversees clinical assignments as needed; provides student advisement; provides supervision and management of students, works collegially with ATCC and ATU Ozark personnel; attends meetings and fulfills all duties as assigned in a professional and timely manner; attends professional development; participates in curriculum development, program planning, assessment, student evaluation; assists in the recruitment and retention of students; communicates with representatives in the field, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse at the Associate Degree level
- Hold a current, unencumbered license to practice (PN) in Arkansas
- Have at least 2 years' experience in the health care field.
- Commitment to obtain CPR Instructor Certification within first semester of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR Instructor Certification
- Have a current RN certification at the bachelor's level
- Hold a current, unencumbered license to practice nursing (RN) in Arkansas
- Have a least 3 years of experience working as a nurse
Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:
This position is located in classrooms and offices at Arkansas Tech Career Center located at 2201 South Knoxville, Russellville, Arkansas. This position is assigned a desk and computer in a location that may be in a different building other than classroom locations, so the position requires the ability to change locations and/or walk moderate distances during a normal day.
Required activities include:
teaching and lecturing, sitting/standing for extended periods, use of a keyboard and mouse, use of standard office equipment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods, and lift 25 pounds occasionally. What to
