100% contract General Description
  • Teaches skills, knowledge and scientific attitudes through courses in earth, life, and physical science.
  • Demonstrates scientific concepts by use of scientific apparatus, experiments, and other instructional aids.
  • Instructs students in the proper use, care, and safe handling of equipment, plant, and animal life.
  • Establishes effective classroom management and student discipline systems.
  • Regularly assesses students and maintains assessment documentation.
  • Supervises students during recesses, lunches, and before/after school as assigned by the administration.
  • Participates in regular and effective communication with parents as partners in students' education.
  • Analyzes data to inform instruction.
  • Actively engages SEL professional development and implementation.
  • Actively participates in school enrollment management initiatives.
  • Follows guidelines for fulfillment of duties as described in the Employee Handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adjunct duties.
  • Sports coaching. Compensation/Benefits
  • Salary range: $53,189 - $112,102, per the JUESD salary schedule (up to 8 years credit for teaching experience outside JUESD)
