Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and versatile Science Teacher with the ability to teach and/or tutor across Physics, Biology, and Chemistry , including AP-level coursework when needed . We are a small, forward-thinking private school committed to academic excellence and individualized learning. This role is ideal for educators who thrive in a collaborative environment, bring subject-matter expertise, and genuinely enjoy making science come alive for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach middle and high school science classes in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry Prepare students for success in both regular and AP-level science coursework Design and deliver interactive, hands-on lessons aligned to NGSS and A-G standards Collaborate with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary and student-centered curricula Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and academic support as needed Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents Participate in occasional school-wide events, curriculum development, and professional development opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a science field (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.) Experience with AP or honors-level instruction is a strong plus 2+ years teaching experience preferred, but passionate new educators are welcome Strong classroom management, communication, and student engagement skills Comfortable using digital tools, lab simulations, and project-based learning Collaborative, reliable, and mission-driven Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Why Join Us?
