03/27/2026 WE are seeking a caring and energetic Science Teacher who is excited about the opportunity to help high school students who have struggled with school success in the past. We believe in a project-based, exploratory learning model for our science classrooms. This position may flex between both science classes and electives based on scheduling and student needs. YOU are seeking a school where you can make a difference in the lives of students, be a part of a close-knit team, and have the ability to stretch your creativity as an educator. Oh, and you should probably love Dragons (our mascot). I & O - Who we are and What we do: We believe in success and that every student matters. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to help students with all aspects of life's challenges, not just academics. With our relationship-driven culture, we support our students to build the skills and confidence to reach their full potential, both in and out of the classroom. We are located in Brighton, CO. We are a small but mighty alternative school with around 200 students. We operate on a 4-day work week (Tue-Fri). Most all agree�Mondays off are quite fabulous! Our ideal teammate is someone who: Has a passion for working with at-risk high school aged youth who need you Has a natural ability to build positive developmental relationships with students using both care and accountability Embraces a creative mindset in developing a project-based classroom that ignites interest in students in understanding the science around them Brings energy, flexibility, and compassion to students, families, and teammates Likes the phrases "think outside the box" and "we like to have fun"
Required Licensure:
Applicants must have or be eligible to obtain a valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License or Alternative Teacher Licensure with Science endorsement, or the qualifications to teach science. Links to
