Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love for science and helping students develop essential scientific skills and knowledge. This role involves creating engaging and effective learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and best practices in science education. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the physical and emotional well-being of all students. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in meaningful scientific inquiry and exploration. Foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity among students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and development. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and standards.
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CTDOE) certification. Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education or a related field with a focus on science. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with technology integration in the classroom. Experience working in a diverse and inclusive educational setting.
