Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a commitment to integrating Christian values into their teaching. This role involves developing and delivering engaging science curricula for students in grades 9-12, fostering a love for scientific inquiry and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:

Design and implement comprehensive science curricula for high school students, aligning with state and national standards. Create engaging and hands-on learning experiences that encourage scientific curiosity and critical thinking. Integrate Christian principles and perspectives into science instruction

Student Assessment and Support:

Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, projects, and laboratory activities. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic and personal growth. Offer additional support and resources to students as needed, including tutoring and mentorship.

Classroom Management:

Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe and productive learning atmosphere.

Professional Development and Collaboration:

Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education and Christian teaching. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and school-wide initiatives.

Community Engagement:

Foster relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider school community to support student success. Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community service projects.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Valid teaching certification for middle school and high school science. Proven experience teaching science at the middle school and/or high school level. Strong knowledge of science curriculum and instructional methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Committed to the mission and values of Impact Christian Academy, with the ability to integrate faith into teaching practices. $44,000.00 - $54,500.00 per year
