Duties Design and implement comprehensive chemistry curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to varied learning styles. Deliver engaging lessons covering topics such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and physics concepts like trigonometry, geometry, calculus, algebra, and differential equations. Conduct laboratory experiments including dissection, microbiology studies, cell biology investigations, and research laboratory activities to enhance hands-on learning. Utilize advanced learning technology tools to facilitate interactive instruction and virtual labs. Assess student progress through standardized testing, classroom observations, quizzes, projects, and tutoring sessions. Provide academic advising and mentorship to support students' educational growth and career aspirations. Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes respect and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational administration tasks. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions. Engage in ongoing professional development related to science education trends, instructional strategies, and special education needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field; Master's degree or higher education teaching certification preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching high school science subjects with a focus on chemistry. Strong knowledge of chemistry topics including organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, and related disciplines. Proficiency with laboratory equipment and safety protocols; experience with dissection and research laboratory activities highly desirable. Familiarity with educational technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with diverse student populations including those requiring special education accommodations or Montessori methods is a plus. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to support student achievement.
