Job Description

Position Summary Fulton Science Academy Private School is hiring a High School Physics and Chemistry Teacher (Grades 9-12) for the 2026-2027 school year , with a start date in late July 2026 . We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to teach Physics and Chemistry courses . Fulton Science Academy primarily serves advanced and gifted students and prides itself on providing a supportive, growth-oriented working environment where teachers can thrive both professionally and personally. The candidate hired for this position is expected to create a student-centered, supportive classroom environment that helps students succeed academically while also nurturing their social-emotional development. Instruction should reflect Fulton Science Academy's core values and support the school's mission of developing intellectually curious, ethical, and resilient learners. We are seeking educators who are fully committed to the school year and who are seriously considering a long-term career in teaching . Qualifications Required Valid Georgia teaching certification (or willingness to obtain certification within the first two years of employment) Bachelor's degree Preferred Teaching experience in the field Experience teaching Honors and/or AP courses STEM endorsement Gifted endorsement Master's degree in Education or in the teaching field Key Responsibilities Include Design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and standards-aligned instruction. Demonstrate evidence of differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs. Foster a positive classroom culture that supports academic growth and social-emotional well-being. Show flexibility and adaptability in both the classroom and workplace. Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents, faculty, and staff. Work collaboratively with your Academic Department and the High School Team . Run and advise academic teams and/or student clubs Contribute to and benefit from the broader school community. Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement. Support Fulton Science Academy's Social-Emotional Learning initiatives , including participation in a daily 25-minute advisory timeframe focused on character education, leadership development, and the school's House System. Perform other duties as assigned.
