education curriculum Classroom behavior management Entry level Full Job Description St. Simon School on the northeast side of Indianapolis is hiring a 7th/8th Grade Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher is responsible for creating a dynamic, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science in middle school students. The teacher will plan and deliver standards-based instruction in life, earth, and physical sciences while incorporating hands-on experiments, STEM activities, and collaborative learning opportunities. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive classroom culture, assessing student progress, communicating effectively with parents and staff, integrating technology into instruction, and supporting the social, emotional, and spiritual development of students. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong classroom management skills, a passion for working with adolescents, the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and a commitment to academic excellence and student growth.
