Tenure Track Position Job Duties:
Teach transferable general Ecology and Hydrology lectures and laboratories. Teach technical Environmental Science lectures and laboratories. Develop syllabi, course materials, exams, etc. Order materials, set up/break down labs, and maintain the EST lab and instruments. Use technology in lectures, laboratories, and online to enhance student learning. Work closely with fellow EST and Natural Sciences faculty. Assist adjunct instructors and substitute for absent instructors as needed. Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures. Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics. Participate in internal and external service within the college. Engage in an appropriate level of professional development as a faculty member. Regular availability for students through office hours. Completion of any College/System required training. Other duties as assigned by the assistant dean or college leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or above in Environmental Science or closely related field. Or Master's degree or above in any subject with a minimum of 18 graduate hours completed in Environmental Science or closely related subject matter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching at the college level. Qualification to teach general Geology, Biology, or Chemistry also preferred.
