About Us
Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is a public K-12 charter school serving more than 1,750 students across four campuses in Malden, Massachusetts. Students primarily come from the surrounding communities of Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, and Wakefield.
Mystic Valley is recognized as one of the top public schools in Massachusetts, New England, and the nation. Our success is rooted in exceptional teachers, carefully selected curricula delivered with fidelity, high academic expectations, and a traditional, structured approach to education.
The school features an extended-day and extended-year model, with students attending school for 200 instructional days annually and participating in a school day that is approximately 60 minutes longer than that of traditional public schools. Students in grades K-12 adhere to a school dress code that reinforces a culture of focus, professionalism, and academic excellence.
Mystic Valley's rigorous academic program includes Core Knowledge, Direct Instruction, Saxon Math, Great Books, and the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at the high school level. Our graduates consistently achieve success at highly selective colleges and universities, reflecting the strength of the education they receive at Mystic Valley.
