Part-time About Us Boston Youth Arts and Innovation is a growing STEAM learning center dedicated to integrating STEM and the Arts. Our mission is to inspire creativity and leadership in K-12 students through hands-on, project-based learning. We offer innovative science and technology programs that help students explore, experiment, and apply their knowledge in real-world ways. Responsibilities  Teach engaging and interactive science classes for students in Grades K-5 (curriculum, lesson plan and teaching training provided);  Lead students in completing hands-on making projects (hands-on making project tutorial provided) during each class  Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment;  Collaborate with the curriculum team to improve lesson slideshows, plans and student learning experiences. Qualifications  Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, or a related STEM field (current graduate students also welcome);  Experience teaching or working with children (school, camp, after-school program, or tutoring);  Passion for science education and hands-on learning;  Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation of learners;  Strong communication and classroom management skills. What We Offer  Competitive hourly rate ($40-$60 per hour, depending on experience);  All curriculum, lecture plans, and student hands-on kits are fully developed and provided, saving significant time on lesson planning and course design.  A supportive platform that encourages innovation and creativity in teaching;  Flexible schedule (weekday afternoons after 3:30 PM and weekends).
