Biology Chemistry Description Springfield College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Biology/Chemistry. The College seeks a teaching-focused candidate who can teach Biochemistry Lecture (3 credit hours) to upper level undergraduates, as well as introductory Chemistry laboratories (2 credit hours each section). The successful candidate will teach up to 9 credit hours in the fall and may continue in the spring semester. Preference is given to candidates who are excellent and innovative teachers and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM education. Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $940 per credit hour Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $1,171 per credit hour Responsibilities The Biochemistry lecture is scheduled to be offered in the Fall 2026 semester on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9:00-9:50 am. Laboratory sections of introductory Chemistry are offered in multiple time slots throughout the week. Qualifications Candidates must possess a Master of Science or above in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields, ABD candidates welcomed.
