Requires a valid Missouri teaching certificate in High School Science.Position Summary:
To create an educational program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a quality education, in accordance with each student's ability; establish good relationships with parents and with other staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. Teaches district approved curriculum and adheres to adopted Board of Education policies. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with students, staff and community. Develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Learns and implements strategies to instruct students in higher level of learning. Uses technologies to enhance instruction. Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize work. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere. Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports. Identifies student needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans. Must be able to give and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work independently. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.APPLICATION DEADLINE
