This role offers an opportunity to foster curiosity, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate a love for learning through innovative teaching methods and engaging classroom experiences. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise, and a commitment to student success in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that integrate core STEM concepts such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and scientific research techniques. Develop curriculum materials aligned with educational standards and incorporate modern learning technology to enhance student engagement. Conduct laboratory experiments, dissections, and research activities in subjects like organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, and genetics to provide hands-on learning experiences. Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and inquiry among students. Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth. Mentor students individually or in groups to improve their understanding of complex topics such as differential equations, discrete math, cell biology, and laboratory research methods. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational best practices; participate in professional development opportunities. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Education with a focus on Science or Mathematics; advanced degrees or certifications in STEM fields are preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching STEM subjects at the middle or high school level; private school experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines including biology (cell biology, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry), and mathematics (algebra, calculus). Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans utilizing instructional design principles and learning technology tools. Experience with laboratory procedures such as dissection techniques and research laboratory practices; familiarity with library services for research purposes. Excellent communication skills for working with students of diverse backgrounds as well as mentoring peers and participating in education administration activities. Skills in classroom management, behavior management strategies, proofreading of instructional materials, and preparation for standardized testing environments.
