Monthly High School Longleaf School of the Arts is a North Carolina public charter high school. We are a college preparatory school focusing on the fine arts.

Longleaf School of the Arts will develop students into confident, responsible, and successful contributors in college, career, and community through mentorship and a challenging curriculum that integrates academics and the fine arts.
Job Summary:
The Science Teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in science and inquiry. He or she will also possess the ability to work with multiple levels of aptitude in each classroom. The candidate must demonstrate a high proficiency in various levels of high school science curriculum. Instruction in science includes content vocabulary, hands-on investigations/labs, and knowledge of the school's three teaching ideologies.
Job Description:
Responsible for creating standards-based lesson plans for all classes, while being innovative in these lessons, incorporating arts into the academic lessons High level of understanding on how to use technology in the classroom; Longleaf is a 1:1 school Work collaboratively with members in the department as well as across curriculums Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities Knowledge of safety rules and regulations for all lab instruction
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree NC Teacher License in (9-12) Science
Position Type:
