Full-time Position Overview:
The Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISMS) seeks a talented, motivated, and intellectually curious Physics educator to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. This position involves teaching AP Physics C and Modern Physics courses at an advanced level. The ideal candidate is a strong content expert and an engaging instructor who can cultivate deep conceptual understanding, guide inquiry and lab-based learning, and support students in developing advanced problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach courses in AP Physics C and Modern Physics Design and implement rigorous, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the AP Physics curriculum Develop and supervise laboratory experiments and hands-on investigations Introduce and teach modern physics topics, including relativity, quantum mechanics, atomic physics, nuclear physics, and astrophysics Support students in developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and interdisciplinary opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics or a closely related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) A minimum of two years of high school (secondary) teaching experience Demonstrated experience teaching AP Physics C or equivalent advanced coursework preferred Strong background in experimental physics and familiarity with laboratory instruction Excellent communication skills and a commitment to working with highly motivated students
