This position includes teaching Upper School classes and serving as an advisor to a small group of students. Responsibilities Teach five sections of Biology and/or Anatomy courses (classes may be on the CP, Honors, or AP level) Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal development Participate actively in the life of the school community beyond the classroom, including contributing to extracurricular programs, events, and committees Demonstrate a passion for teaching, fostering student growth, and engaging students in scientific inquiry and critical thinking Manage the classroom effectively, establish a positive learning environment, and maintain accurate records of student progress Effectively differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curricula and interdisciplinary learning opportunities Communicate effectively with families to support student success Create a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and exploration Integrate technology and current educational trends into classroom practices Qualifications Hold a bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (advanced degree preferred) Have experience teaching Upper School level students (other relevant experiences will be considered)
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$60,000 to $90,000 (final compensation will be determined based on experience and education)
