Summit, NJ Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $95,000 a year 10 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Kent Place School is seeking a Science teacher with expertise and experience in teaching Physics, enthusiasm to collaborate with an inquiry-based department, advise a group of students, and to participate in community events. Candidates should have expertise in curriculum development and an interest in promoting STEM fields at either the secondary or university level. Skills and Experience Candidates with teaching experience in AP Physics C will be prioritized. Experience with curriculum writing and teaching in an inquiry based progarm at the high school level is a plus. Fluency with learning management systems and Google Suite. Collaboration and School Community Ability to collaborate with colleagues across academic departments, particularly in the STEM fields. Experience leading activities that broaden student interest in design thinking and creative problem-solving. Willingness to support students in their scientific learning in and outside of class time. Enthusiasm for advising US students and participating in community events. Required and Preferred Background Bachelor's degree in Physics, or a related field is required. Master's degree in Science, a related field, or Education/Teaching is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of prior teaching experience is preferred. Experience or a strong disposition towards research-based strategies in teaching in STEM fields to empower girls and young women. Kent Place School is an equal opportunity employer.
