Primary Purpose The GV Christian School Computers Teacher is responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students at all high school levels (possible jr. high levels), while reaching different student learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) through engaging lesson plans. This teacher will be responsible for assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting the overall progress for each student in his or her class. GV Christian School is also looking for a team player that loves our students, and has a desire to see these students grow in their knowledge of Christ and their ability to make future decisions. The teacher will possess high character and references that show a work history of representing "the pursuit of God, knowledge, compassion, and leadership," which is the GV Christian School motto. The teacher will possess a strong knowledge of teaching methods of computers. They will maintain an active, personal relationship with Christ. Requirements Major Responsibilities and Duties, included but not limited to: Possess knowledge and understanding of the Christian philosophy of education that will enable him/her to provide leadership and guidance to students. Implement Biblical integration throughout the computers curriculum and other activities. Instruct classes as assigned, following the prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the school administration. Possess knowledge of the physical/emotional development of children, particularly at the age level of the children being taught and understand the problems they face. Plan broadly using semester and quarterly plans and objectives, and more currently using a Daily Lesson Plan. Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students that focuses on understanding and mastery of computers.. Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Plan through approved channels a variety of modes including uses of labs, demonstrations, field trips, guest speakers, and other media. Use homework effectively for skill development, review, enrichment, or project work. Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Demonstrate a system of regular parent communication to connect school and home. Respond in a timely manner to parent requests for help or information, or to parent concerns. Participate in formal and informal parent-teacher conferences. Participate in continuous professional development through professional reading, college coursework, and through attendance at in-service, workshops, and conferences. Seek and accept constructive evaluation of his/her job performance; demonstrate a teachable spirit. Attend school devotions, staff meetings and events deemed necessary by the administration. Follow all school policies and procedures as set forth by the GV Christian School Handbook. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters related to students, parents, faculty and administration.

Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy and show familiarity with current and applicable learning technology; Possess a high level of spoken and written literacy as well as practice excellent communication skills; demonstrate the ability to manage student and parent relationships Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Education and Experience:
Attained a bachelor's degree in Education or related field, with Technology and/or Computers endorsement Valid ACSI certification (preferred) or be willing to obtain within one year of start date; 2+ Years teaching experience preferred Pay:
