Science Teacher

Job Summary Notre Dame High School, Gr. 7-12, is a college-preparatory school in Elmira, NY, and is currently seeking to fill the Science Teacher position. The qualified candidate will teach 8th-grade science, Regents Earth & Space Science, and AP Environmental Science. The ideal individual will possess both teaching experience and certification for grades 7-12, be willing to incorporate the NGSS and 3-dimensional learning into the curriculum, and have effective classroom management skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communicate clearly with all stakeholders through written, spoken, and visual media. The science teacher must be committed to continuously developing curriculum and instruction through collaboration. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required; however, a Master's Degree is preferred. Past teaching experience is preferred. Such alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the Head of School as appropriate and acceptable.
