Job Description

Physics Instructor This part-time, remote role presents a unique opportunity to teach students across the LCMC — a national college consortium with 120+ colleges and 230,000+ students — through Rize-powered Pillars courses. We are sourcing qualified individuals to teach Physics courses to undergraduate students across the LCMC. These shared virtual classes support foundational undergraduate learning through engaging, academically rigorous coursework across traditional college disciplines. Because of this growth, this opportunity includes: Exceptional instructional design and instructor support The opportunity to support students across a diverse range of institutions The ability to contribute to flexible, scalable academic offerings for colleges nationwide Potential for additional instructional opportunities as the Pillars Catalog expands Main Deliverables Instruction of one or more sections of Analytical Mechanics found HERE Providing timely and meaningful feedback to students Supporting student learning and engagement in a fully online environment Facilitating discussions and activities that reinforce subject mastery and academic skill development Maintaining regular communication with students and supporting an engaging online learning environment About the Courses Rize-powered Pillars courses support foundational academic disciplines and general education requirements, helping students build strong subject matter knowledge and academic skills within traditional college disciplines. Our Rize-powered courses share the following attributes: Fully virtual, asynchronous classes Strong emphasis on student engagement and interaction Frequent discussions and opportunities for collaboration Academic rigor aligned with college-level learning outcomes Free (open source) or low-cost course materials Delivered through, and supervised by, a fully-accredited, not-for-profit four-year college Desired Experience and Qualifications A master's degree or higher in Physics or other relevant field. Please note, this is a firm requirement.
