Job Description

We are having a BLAST at Mad Science! We build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, teach children how to be secret agents, and more! You will inspire the next generation of scientists through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really all about. As a Mad Science Camp Instructor, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children. We are currently looking for energetic individuals to experience a unique working environment and join our growing team to provide the best STEM enrichment camps in the Akron, Canton, and Cleveland areas of Ohio! Full-time and part-time, seasonal positions are available for candidates who: Have experience working with groups of children aged 6-10 Are available to work most weeks between June 8 and August 7 Are outgoing and have a fun personality Have your own reliable car As a Mad Science Summer Camp Instructor, you will be responsible for presenting our summer camp curriculum to a group of elementary-aged children each week. Our camps full day camps and half day camps. You will be scheduled to locations based on where you live, and will be at the same location all week (and sometimes from week to week as well). We provide all the materials, as well as a paid training on all the content. All you need to do is bring your eagerness to learn, and we give you all the tools you need to deliver an amazing summer for our campers. Training and orientation will be conducted during the beginning of June. You will need availability during those weeks to learn the content.
